Which was exactly what Axel had called him. A baby. That immediately made him suck up his tears as he sprang back to his feet. He was going to need to ditch these clothes, and fast. Axel was probably on the way here by now, finally, after they're spent what had felt like eons on the machine talking back and forth before getting down to the important business.
Roxas paused for a second, biting his lip. He didn't know when Axel had been taken from... did Axel know he wasn't supposed to exist? He had mentioned something about exploding, and Roxas stupidly hadn't pursued the matter any further. What was he talking about? Had Sora exploded? No, that was stupid, Axel wouldn't kill Sora if Roxas was inside of him.
It really didn't matter, he realized. He was here, Axel was here, and Sora... well, Sora was somewhere. But Axel was here. That mattered. A lot. He remembered watching Axel fade away after their last fight, after he had so stupidly fought against his best friend. He hadn't known that, not really. Not until after, after they'd fought and he'd beaten him with the Keyblades and well... then, after that, he'd remembered everything.
After a second he was digging frantically through the closet, trying to shake that thought from his brain. Axel was here now. That was important, not anything else. He managed, at the back, to find miniature everything. Satisfied, he pulled everything on but his shoes when he heard an impatient knock at the door, and then Axel's voice.... only smaller. Girlier.
Roxas giggled, then silenced himself. Goddamnit, he wasn't seven!
He went to the door, bit his lip once more, and then opened it, and there was Axel. Only... smaller. With a girly voice. And... oh god, it was Axel.
Roxas didn't know what to do. He stood there, feeling sort of paralyzed. Hug him? Tackle him? He didn't know.
"Nice.... clothes," was what he managed, stepping back into the room, feeling almost shy. What he wanted was to throw his arms around his friend and not let him go. But he was a seven year old boy. And seven year old boys were infinitely cooler than that, by far.

Nice.... clothes.
Axel practially fell over at that greeting, seriously Roxas? Axel supposed he couldn't blame the kid for being happy to see him. Axel sure was, and he instantly stepped forward into the room.
"Is that all you have to say to me? Not even a hello? You could at least invite me in Roxas." Ok, so Axel didn't exactly get points either for a heartfelt introduction, but Axel wasn't exactly the kinda guy who had a heart. While he waited for Roxas to say something else, he lifted his hands upward as he eyed the younger nobody's room. Wasn't much different than his own. Boring!

He wanted to touch Axel. He wanted to feel him, and make sure he was real, and here, and alive, but he refrained from that and instead just crossed his arms. They were almost the same height now, he thought. Apparently he'd been the same sized kid as most everyone else before they hit puberty and they shot up and Roxas stayed small.
Or at least, he imagined that's how it would have happened. He had never been a kid.
"I told you hello on the computer," he answered, still just hugging his arms to his chest. "It was sort of repetitive to say it again. 'sides, I don't need to say hello to you. You're you." He bit his lip nervously, still wanting to do a billion and two things and once, but he refrained from any of them again.
"This is.... really weird," he said, lamely. "We were never kids. And it's weird... being back like this. With you." He shut his mouth then, because a billion and two things might come out of his mouth if he didn't stop it right then.

It seemed like Axel was being a tad oblivious, but it didn't mean he didn't notice Roxas's behavior, it wasn't like he didn't know. The small red head shifted a bit closer to Roxas and stretched out a hand towards the top of his head. He let his fingers ease into Roxas's spikey blonde hair, before he let them ruffle it a bit more.
Axel's lips twisted in distaste for a brief second, this worked better when he was taller ( he was still taller ), but taller in the adult way. "Oi, don't make that face. How many times have I told you, its gonna get stuck like that?"

When Axel reached out to touch his head, Roxas let him, making a small "tsking" noise in his throat. When Axel ruffled his hair it made him feel slightly inferior. In the regular world, Roxas would scoff and let him do it anyway though. He thought it made him look childish, and in public he'd move away from the offending hand.
They were alone now. And seven.
When Axel spoke again Roxas snorted and moved away now, from underneath Axel's hand indignantly. "You're stupid. It's not going to get stuck like this! And I'm not even making a face." He studied Axel's form (he was still taller, damnit, he could never win). Time to get serious. Or at least, time to figure out some stuff from their old world.
It probably meant nothing here. But Roxas wanted to know.
"So," he said, tentatively. "What happened? What did you mean by exploding?"

He gave Roxas a minute to calm down, and turned towards the room's door and pulled it shut. It was about the time he pulled his hand off the knob, when Roxas asked him what happened. Right down to business. Alex thought to himself, that was just like Roxas.
With a shrug of his shoulders, Axel slipped towards the edge of the bed and jumped up to rest on the foot. He glared down when he noticed his feet didn't reach the floor. "What do you remember? The last thing that is... I mean a lot happened after you left."
Reply
It was like some kind of imaginary blow when Axel mentioned something about after he'd left. He'd been thinking about that a lot since he'd gotten here-- it was really the only time he'd had to think about it, since he'd been kidnapped before he'd even really escaped. But he had been thinking about it, and how everything would be different now.... if he had just stayed.
Axel was asking him a question though, so he answered, "Well I remember fighting you and then... I remember being absorbed back into Sora." He bit his lip; it was not a very pleasant memory. "That's the last thing I remember. Just a lot of light, and thinking that my life was over, and then I woke up here."
Sort of a depressing topic for conversation, really.

Axel didn't really mind the depressing topic, he didn't have much need to be depressed. After all, Roxas was sitting right next to him. Far as he was concerned things could go back to normal. Freaky new setting or not.
After the silence lingered between them a little more than he liked, Axel gave Roxas a light nudge. "Don't worry about it, eh? Its not like there's anything we can really do about it now. I'm sure the sap-head's fine."
Yes, he was completely content to just let Sora do his own thing. Why should he care - he got what he wanted.

"Yea," he said, when Axel nudged him. "Yea, I know. I'm sure he is, I mean, he's part me after all... even if he is a bit of an idiot." He rubbed his head, trying to think of what to say, and when he did, he punched Axel in the arm. "Hey! You still didn't tell me, what happened when you got here? What do you last remember?" He narrowed his eyes at his friend. "And what are you talking about, explosions, what you said before?"
Reply
It was another aloof response, and he let his words trail off before he jumped off the bed and paced a few steps away. "You know me and fire." He continued with a somewhat elaborate movement of his fingers, which produced no fire -- not even smoke.
He turned his head back towards Roxas with a grin. Getting the whole story out of him, wasn't going to be easy.

He rolled his eyes when Axel moved his hand and nothing happened. With a low growl Roxas jumped off the bed, hitting the ground and nearly flailing forward like he had before, almost losing his balance. He still felt awkward in this small body. He didn't feel like he knew how to work it. He'd never experienced it.
"Yea I know you and fire," he growled, now being the one to stalk toward Axel. "And you're not answering my question, jerk!" Once he was close enough, he pounced, trying to drag Axel to the ground. If he couldn't get Axel to say anything, then he was just going to have to beat it out of him.
Or tickle him, either worked.

"You're gonna end up knocking us over!" and of course that made Axel the jerk, here was Roxas trying to take him down. Not that it mattered, Axel could play this game too. He let his knees give under the weight and down they went. Who knew who'd end up on top in the end.
Who said he was ticklish anyway?

They tussled there for a few seconds more, and Roxas ended up toppling them over, to the ground, where they hit and then started to roll around. Roxas quickly realized that Axel was still much bigger than him.. taller.. Roxas kicked as he realized this was starting to not go his way.
He ended up flat on his back, Axel pinning him to the floor and grinning that smirk at him. Roxas struggled, but it was mainly to no avail. "Let me up!" he said, indignantly. "Let me up and tell me what you meant by exploding!" He kicked his legs against Axel's knees but no give. He glared. "No fair, you're bigger than I am."

"Awe c'mon Roxy ~" he continued to hold the other down, but it was hard to keep from laughing at this point. The look on Roxas's face when he angry was too priceless. Something between adorable and amusing, at least to Axel.

"No!" he said hotly, doing his best to channel all of the venom he felt through his eyes. "If you don't let me up I'm going to... I'm going to... I'm going to do something very bad to you." The threat ended lamely and he sighed angrily, trying not to get riled up more than he already was. He could already tell he was getting worked up; it was like some dam was wanting to burst somewhere in him. He wanted to know what Axel meant. He sensed it was important. If Axel wasn't telling him... well, Axel was always like that, but this was just different somehow.
He tried to escape once more for emphasis. "I know you're not telling me something important," he said, the edge somewhat gone from his voice. He let some of the venom seep out of his eyes and instead changed to looking pitifully at Axel. Sometimes this worked.
If it didn't, well.. he had a lot more lame threats in his arsenal.

"Oh man ~ I haven't laughed that hard in forever," he begun to say inbetween his laughter. After a few more moments Axel's face matched the color of his hair. He really was trying his best to stop and catch his breath.
