She was feeling calmer today. Maybe the shock of seeing that body had done her in that day, but she was lasting a lot longer. As such, the knock on the door did not send her sprawling halfway across the room this time. She rose from her seat at the vanity (which was almost the only place not covered in blood) and crossed the room. She had spent a while cleaning her clothes for this, though her top was still a vague rust colour, but it was so that it looked dyed more than anything.

She wondered if she should be disturbed by that, before deciding not to dwell on it. Opening the door so that Trucy would not see the mess that was her room, she peered out hesitantly, smiling. "Hello!" she said happily.

The bright eyes and warm, happy smile that greeted Trucy at the door set her at ease, even if Rena's reluctance to open the door beyond a crack did not. She probably just had a messy room, which made sense, given the girl had been dead yesterday. "Hi!" Trucy said, waving. "In case you haven't guessed, I'm Trucy. Nice to meet you in person, Rena!"

She paused a moment, touching her chin as she thought. "Hmm, it's probably time for lunch by now, which means the fruit's been sitting out a couple hours. Still, we'll find something, even if we have to sterilize it. Ready to go?"

"It's nice to meet you too!" she replied, slipping out the door without revealing any more of the room. She'd have to explain later; she could see the other girl frowning at her actions.

Rena could hear Trucy asking her if she was ready to go, and was about to reply with a 'yes', but something else came out of her mouth.

"Hau~au! Your clothes are so cute!!" She squealed, taking in the top hat, cloak and dress. "I wanna take you home!~"

"Thanks!" Trucy said, leading the way down the hall. As usual, the warped wood groaned under her feet. "I made it myself about a year ago. A magician's got to be ready to perform everywhere, you know."

Usually liking to return a compliment for a compliment, Trucy glanced at Rena's shirt, then blinked. "Nice pink shirt!"

[ooc: Sorry for the late reply! Now that next event's written, I'll be able to play tonight. ^^]

She sighed happily. "Wow, I wish I had that talent, I could make so many cute things! And I could get people to model for me and they'd be so adorable and oh Rika-chan would have to do my children's line and-" she cute herself off when she realised she was babbling, grinning sheepishly.

Rena blinked down at her stained top, and felt a wave of relief that Trucy couldn't identify it as a giant bloodstain. "Thanks!" she smiled back. She didn't trust the way one particular floor board creaked, lifted her foot and danced around it. "This place is really unstable... It's a wonder it hasn't collapsed yet!" she said, finding not stepping on any creaky floorboards was impossible, as the floor was entirely made of them.

[ooc: ooh! I'm gonna go check that out! Tiny Rena... I wonder if she would try to take herself home? XD]

"Costuming's fun, but magic's even better! Watching people's faces when you surprise them is something that can't be beat," Trucy said, beaming as they made their way downstairs. "You sound more like a costume girl. The Host didn't let us keep much, so would you like to try making me a new outfit? When we go home, you can bring it to show your friend."

Trucy likewise eased her way around a floorboard or two. Aside from the usual whispers and noises one always found in the dark stairwell, Trucy carefully avoided the rickety handrail. "Oh, that. It did collapse once, but that was only after a blizzard that lasted way too long to be normal." Flashing Rena a bright grin, she added, "Not that much is normal!"

"Oh I'd love to help you out!" Cried Rena, a giant smile on her face. "That would be great! We could get every thing how we liked it!" Her eyes sparkled as she thought of the many adorable possibilities. "We need some fabric, and some thread and some n-needles!" she stumbled over the last word, a million images flashing through her head. She only paused for a slight second before ploughing determinedly on. "I'm sure there's somewhere in town we can get that stuff."

The news of the hotel collapsing really shouldn't have surprised her as much as it did. Logic didn't make much sense here. "Really? Was anyone hurt?" she asked, concerned.

"And maybe we could make another costume for you, and you could be my assistant," Trucy said, excited at the prospect of a real stage performance. The card tricks she did in the hall weren't quite the same as her old shows at the Wonder Bar. But then, there was an odd quiver in Rena's voice at the mention of needles. "I bet we can find needles, but they're mostly bent or rusty, like someone left them out in the rain for years. What's wrong? Do you prick yourself with needles a lot?"

Trucy screwed up her face in thought at the last question as they reached the second floor landing and continued down. "Yes and no. Actually, I think we died."

"Assistant? You mean I get to be vanished under blankets and pretend to be sawn in half?" Rena's eyes sparkled with glee and the concept. She twirled on one foot, squealing in delight, despite the complaints of the floor beneath her. he paused when Trucy mentioned the needle thing. "I- well... had some bad experiences with them." she admitted, pushing down the thousands of images of Rika trying to help her fight off her madness with the medicine, tainted by Rena's own fears that the little girl was going to kill her.

Rena should have expected that last comment, but she drew in breath all the same. "All of you died?" she said incredulously.

"Exactly! My uncle Valant made a woman appear on the opposite stage of a rock concert within seconds, but maybe we can try for across the Refectory." Trucy said, her own eyes gleaming at the thought of stepping up her game--or more accurately, her performance. Glancing at Rena as she mentioned her bad experiences with needles, Trucy didn't notice any strange tics, but Rena was clearly nervous. It was something Rena didn't want to talk about, that was certain, and she was being honest, so there wasn't any reason to press the subject.

"Yeah, I think so," Trucy answered, hopping down the last few steps before they reached the lobby. "I can't tell for sure, since we woke up outside in the snow and had to hide out in a bloody church for a week. At least it was warm there, but it wasn't pretty."
