chaos gingerly peeked inside the room, hoping that he wasn't late. He smiled when he saw people there already-- it looked like he'd arrived just in time! He took a seat near Naruto, but kept his silence, choosing to only take a sandwich and a pink juice-like liquid. He wasn't really much of an eater.

"AH, CHAOS!" Naruto said loudly, a slice of pizza hanging out of his mouth. He grinned, still juggling with a pile of food in his arms.

chaos blinked, and then chuckled at the sight of Naruto and the pizza hanging from his mouth, "Hello!" he covered his mouth as soon as the greeting left it, trying to be polite in masking his laughter. He didn't need to ask Naruto if he was enjoying the feast before him or not, and he also felt a great deal of weight lift from his shoulders. Naruto was ecstatic, and that meant a lot to chaos.

"Is the food as good as you're making it look?" he finally asked.

Naruto nodded, overly enthusiastic, before putting down the stuff he had had in his arms. It was pointless to walk around carrying all of that so soon into the banquet, so he gathered it together and kept it close to him, but finished his slice as he grabbed a drink. "Definitely! It's the best food I've ever had, or maybe that's just because I was so hungry..."

He chuckled once more when he realized just what Naruto was doing, "There's a saying," chaos began, holding a finger to his chin as if in deep thought, "Right! 'Hunger is the best spice!'"

"What does that mean?" Naruto wasn't one for abstract sayings, and for some reason, he could feel his focus slipping away. But he didn't mind, because he was starting to feel really giddy and happy instead.

"It means exactly what you said before,"chaos explained, "That everything tastes better when you're really really hungry." Almost as if to emphasize the point, chaos took another bite out of his sandwich, taking a few moments to enjoy it-- then again, he was always a slow eater.

"Oh! That makes sense," he nodded, giving chaos his wisest look of 'I understand, and always have, I was simply testing you!'. He glanced at the other's sandwich, wondering what was in it or if it was any good. "How's your sandwich?"

chaos returned Naruto's look of wisdom with one of his own-- one that said 'Of course you were'. Notching Naruto's eyeline, chaos tore off the half of the sandwich he hadn't eaten yet, offering it to him with a cheerful smile, "Try it for yourself!"

"Hee, thanks!" He said, taking the sandwich and giggling. Then he shot chaos an awkward look, hoping he hadn't heard that and wondering just why he'd giggled at that. He shrugged and took a big bite, eating it quickly. "Ahhh, it's really good! I don't know what's in it but...it's good!"

"You're very welcome," out of politeness, chaos said nothing about Naruto's giggle, although he still found it very odd. Not enough to strike concern into him right now, but still odd, "Isn't it?" chaos laughed, taking a sip of the pink 'juice'. There was alcohol in there, and although chaos' body was small, he could usually drink a lot. However, this felt different, and although chaos was brought up to never leave a plate with food (maybe that's why his portions were always so small), he wouldn't go back for seconds, at least not for the drink.

"The nacho things over there are good, too, you should try them!" Naruto pointed and started getting up on his knees on his chair, trying to reach for them over chaos and all the food separating the nachos from his hand. "Ugh, they're too far," he whined, before slopping back down and looking like a 3 year old kid who had been denied dessert.

"Oh! I'll get them." chaos reached around the food, fork in one hand, plate in the other, and began to shovel the nachos onto it. There was much more being placed on the plate than he'd ever eat himself-- he was obviously planning on Naruto eating at least half. He carefully balanced the plate as he brought it towards him, finally bringing it to a rest right between them.

"AWESOME! Thanks!" He grinned bright at chaos before grabbing a handful and shoving it all in his mouth. He was still starved, no matter how much he ate. "'Ave 'ome, 'oo!" he spoke, mouth full, as he pushed the plate towards chaos.

"You're welcome!" chaos barely had time to get out before Naruto began shoveling food down his throat. At Naruto's invitation, chaos plucked a chip out of the small pile, eating that with delicacy as well. It was good! chaos couldn't remember the last time he'd had a nacho. He began to eat with a little more gumption, however, to anyone else, it was eating at a normal pace.

Naruto swallowed, watching chaos eat. "You're kinda slow at eating," he chuckled. He wondered how he could help chaos eat a little faster, and had it not been chaos, he would probably already have shoved a handful of nachos into his mouth. But he liked him, and didn't feel like doing that to him.
