Post-Thanksgiving...well, post.

I never feel like I have much to report, but since I see that Cassie and Linds have been on, I'll give a little tidbit.

I was off from work Thursday and Friday and I took today (Monday) as a vacation day. Thursday, Dave and I had Thanksgiving at his parents house. The oven gave out before the pies and turkey were done! Doesn't it always seem like that kind of thing happens on important days and not just a regular day?? But with some creative grilling and use of the toaster oven, we got everything done and it was delicious. :)

Friday morning we left for Butler. Had a good drive out, and an amazing dinner Friday night. Saturday Dave and I went to Clearview (Cuz I still hate the malls out here in York) and I got a new scarf for my red pea coat at New York & Company (for $10) and a pair of Isotoner leather fleece-lined gloves at TJ Maxx for $12. So I'm officially set for winter---but it hasn't even been cold in York yet. It's far enough South that it takes awhile to really get cold! Saturday night we ate with my family again (Leftovers..mmmm...I like Thanksgiving even better the day after!) and then Dave and I watched Polar Express with Kelly C. I was amazed how good of a movie it was---truly a children's movie....none of that off-color adult comedy that Disney puts in everything now. It's nice to see a wholesome kids film once in awhile. After the movie, we went to Eat N Park with Kelly C and Sarah to catch up. Was a good night!

(Side Note: Those of you in Butler - I rented the movie at Family Video, down near the Pizza Hut on Cunningham Street? All you give them is your driver's license, and two telephone numbers and you are registered. The best part is that the first 30 days of your memebership you can rent movies 1/2 off. They rent at approx. $2.50 per night, so I got polar express for $1.32! If you're the type to rent a movie, watch it, and return it the next day, I reccomend that place. It's way more affordable than Blockbuster, that's for sure.)

Sunday we drove back to York. UGH. We left my parents house at 12:45, and when we got to Harmarville, I told Dave I was hungry, so we stopped at Primanti Bros. By 2:30, we were back on the road, and got on the Turnpike. We were cruising along just fine for about 30 miles and then we hit serious traffic and accidents up ahead, etc. We spent the next 125 miles going between stopped and 40 miles an hour. UGH. We didn't get back to York until 8:30 p.m.

It was evil. I've driven on the holiday weekend and never had any problems. I guess we just left too late in the day since we stopped to eat. I certainly learned my lesson!

Today I am off, doing laundry and cleaning the apartment and hanging out.

Makes me want tomorrow off too!
