um, hi. :) so, i know it's been forever. but seriously, every time i get some time to write in this thing, something work-related comes up. it also doesn't help that i've been working, for all intents and purposes, two jobs since about... may? this year? yeah. more on My Life Since 17 July later.

just to illustrate - paint a word picture, if you will - of how life conspires against my blogging, i give you, gentle readers, exhibit a, in the case of enkeli vs. livejournal: the glorious text you see below? i meant to post it TWO THURSDAYS AGO (along with a little recap of spn 2.01 "in my time of dying") when, you know, it would have been RELEVANT. instead i got stuck in waaaay too much holiday traffic, tried to catch up on sleep (failed), had a week's worth of all-day meetings, bollocks'd up my jury duty (rescheduled for this week, yay), and now can't get my wireless router to work.

but, you know what? in the spirit of POSTING SOMETHING, i say fuck it. you get it now.

so, take yourself back, back, back. maybe you'd had too much turkey. maybe you and your little brother got into a fight with the reddi whip (what, it happens). it was thanksgiving and you were, um, giving thanks. *g*

stuff for which i am thankful:
1) coffee: do i even need to explain this one? i didn't think so.
2) bananas: tasty and versatile! very portable, too!
3) allergy medication: man, how did i function without this stuff?
4) my mom: one of the best people i know. she doesn't get it right all of the time, but she tries and she comes pretty damn close.
5) my dad: gave me my love of the beatles, the blues, current events and tall men.
6) friends: y'all are the best, yo.
7) crazy family: they're crazy - crazy! but they're still family and i'm pretty thankful to have them.
8) my job: yes, it sucks all of my time, but i'm pretty glad to have it all the same.
9) my cat: she may be a servant of the dark lord, but she's MY servant of the dark lord.
10) supernatural: you know, for all its cool-car-scary-monsters-hot-guys-fighting-ghosts-metal-music awesome, what i'm really thankful for is that it made me say, "yeah, that's EXACTLY what it's like to have a little brother. uh-huh, yep."
11) multi-region dvd players with divx: seriously, y'all. the only thing it doesn't do is cut through a tin can. *hugs to self*
12) the comanche tribe of oklahoma: you know how my tribe decided to spend thanksgiving this year? distributing casino funds to tribal members. never let it be said that native americans don't have a sense of humor.
13) jared's mole: i think god figured if you were going to spend all that time climbing, you should have something interesting to look at when you get to the top.
14) cashmere turtlenecks: they're pretty awesome. no, really, they are! they would be even more awesome if i actually had a NECK, but you know. details.
15) elljay: keeping me sane since 2003. whenever i think the internet can no longer surprise me, out you come with another crazy post. o, how you continue to entertain me, crazy elljay land!
16) hugh dancy's burberry ads: for over a year, you made opening vanity fair a wonderful, gorgeous surprise.
17) fencing: sport of the future! er, no. but it's still pretty cool.
18) concealer: hides a multitude of sins. you don't even know.
19) LASIK: it makes me feel like a freakin miracle of science every day... although, i do miss my glasses and their awesome uv protection sometimes.
20) flannel pyjamas: nothing on this planet more awesome than flannel pyjamas. except maybe a man in flannel pyjamas. a really tall man. a really, really, really, really ridiculously freakishly tall man. yeah.
21) jensen ackles: look, people. no, seriously - LOOK. he's by no means my favorite actor, although i probably wouldn't love dean winchester as much without him, but as a member of the female gender, i gots ta recognize. hell, if i was an alien from another planet, i would swing by earth just to say DAYUM. i think the fact that the image file is labeled "holyfuckjensen" speaks volumes (i didn't change it, i swear!).
22) holiday hours: the only time of the year stores are open during enkeli hours. it was the best thing ever to be at the best buy at 10pm on a MONDAY.

boy, that's a lot.

and since i'm clearly on a roll, and i've got most of it typed anyway, you'll be getting that supernatural recap, too. but like, not now. i've even got one for "everybody loves a clown". actually, i've got one for each ep this season, just never finished them, because - well, we already went through this, didn't we? also, most of them consisted of "askfs'a;sfkdj'alhkf" and "oh, dean!" i guess it's a good thing i will have a lot of time on my hands waiting in the jury duty green room tomorrow.

good bad ugly
