[*cackles evilly, or at least attempts to and it ends in a cough* This is set sometime between 303: Bad Day at Black Rock, and 306: Red Sky at Morning, and really - it’s just a bit of fun. Which, frankly, Bela is in need of.]
This was not the way she had planned on spending her evening. In fact, she had planned to just make this a quick in-and-out job, not to put up with Dean’s whining, or not-so-veiled insults, or stupid attempts to get back at her for shooting his brother. Or was it that he was getting back at her for stealing his scratch tickets? Whatever the case may be, she was getting more pissed off by the minute, and Sam was lucky that he wasn’t here, because she may be just a little tempted to shoot him again.
So far, the lead they had been pursuing was a dead end for the demon the brothers were looking for, but would have probably been rather profitable for Bela in her search for her amulet-provided the idiot she had been saddled with hadn’t decided to pretend he was two and play the always fun game of “Let’s handcuff Bela to the Nearest Stationary Object,” didn’t count on her being a little smarter and faster than to fall for that, and managed to get himself handcuffed to her. And then, he revealed to her that he clearly hadn’t thought this plan through and that not only did he had planned to just leave her there, he hadn’t brought the keys as well. So now, Bela and Dean were making their way through the dark museum, handcuffed to each other, and Bela was very, very, very much not amused.
She was sure Dean was annoyed as well, but that idiot’s feelings weren’t really all that pertinent at the moment.
She grit her teeth slightly as she made her way through, feeling the weight of her gun in her breast pocket, and wondering if she could shoot him without getting his blood and guts all over herself. She knew at this distance it was unlikely, so she wasn’t exactly willing to try it-she liked this jacket, she wasn’t about to get anything on it, so instead she just yanked her wrist, pulling Dean after her as they continued to make her way through the dark building in search of her amulet. Whatever the brothers happened to be hunting-it could wait. Dean had basically just given her free range of their little mission, whether he wanted to or not.
“Once we get out of these,” she said as she continued walking, not turning back to face him. “I’m going to shoot you. Several times over. And I’m going to make sure your death is slow and painful.”
