[he flashes a smile back and steps in. John's not a tea person, but he likes cats, and he kneels down a little to scritch her behind the ears.]

[John smiles at her geniunely, murmuring his thank you and going about fixing his tea. He stiffens at the mere mention of Crowley, though he knew this is what the conversation would be about. He nods and looks at her seriously.]

The exorcism didn't work. I know how to trap him, but he will get out eventually, and odds are it will only make things worse. But I do know how to keep him out.

[she gestures to the salt ring that's around the door and against her windowsills]
