It's Been a While
Hello again, readers, after this long departure. I see that it has indeed been quite a while. I mean, nothing all that exciting has been happening around here, so I haven't felt very compelled to sit down and type out something. No funny antecdotes this time...
Well, on the news front, I now have a job, although I'm not sure if I would call it work. I "supervise" as Chris, the Underground Man himself said, these two kids a few hours after school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It is quite a bit of fun. Rob (14, 8th grader) and I were hanging out yesterday playing video games and then started a huge game of Risk. Gillian (11, 5th grade) was out for a while and then brought back a couple of friends, and yes, I had to break it all up after they were a bit more rowdy than they should have been. After I drove all her friends home, Rob helped me make dinner, then I went back home. Some guys came over and we played DDR and poker into the night.
Also, I am for sure going to the University of Rochester next year, since they sent me a shirt with the UR seal on it and the text "Class of 2009" in the mail (which I wore proudly yesterday).
In other news, as one of Gillian's friends, Danny said yesterday, I'm still "single as a Pringle." Although, "Once you pop, you can't stop," so how can any Pringle chip actually be single? It's mind boggling, I assure you.
Well, that's about it for now, I must go shower and prepare for lunch (no, I'm not one of those people for whom eating lunch is a huge event that takes hours. We are going out, so I must look nice and mell nice, otherwise I just wouldn't be in character). Tootles
