Quick Little Post!
Just a quick little post to let everyone know I'm still alive!
Current stuff:
I sold my house in Ferndale. I have been renting it out for the last six years, but it was finally time to sell. With the fast help of awesome friends, we fixed up the place to make it sellable (yes, it was a terrible smelly mess.....) and sold it within a week of its listing. The gentleman who bought it had a home inspector do a report on it, and found out that the furnace was bad. We discounted the price accordingly, and eveyone was happy with the result. Finally, I don't have that house weighing on my mind, especially when I go out of town. We are planning on refinancing our house with the money.
My mother's house sold quickly too, for which we are all thankful. Again, no more worrying about that house either. My mother is very happy in her independant/assisted living community, and the money from the sale will help keep her there a long, long time.
Gary and I had a wonderful time in Paris with his parents and sister and brother-in-law. So much art....!!
I'm working on art right now, trying to get commissions done. I have several cons coming up pretty soon, so I don't want a huge backlog of take-home commissions weighing me down too.
Gary just had an operation on his middle ear, and the operation seems to be a huge success. He is taking it easy, per doctor's orders.
I'm doing well, and I'm pretty confident about the future.
