In case anyone was wondering, I'm still here. I'm still reading your journals. I still enjoy them. I sometimes make comments.
I don't post much. I post a few snippets of info on Facebook. I like the immediateness of it. I like getting responces to silly posts withing minutes. For some reason, it makes me feel connected to these people, many of whom I have never met.
Anyways, here's an important snippet of information, worthy of posting here:
Gary and I have sold our house, and are looking for another one. We're going out today with our realtor to look at a few. Time is short, because our closing date is March 5th. We won't settle for less than what we want tho...we can't. We both want a place we can be proud of, a place that we can entertain in, a place that, when we drive up to it we look at it and say, proudly, 'Wow! That's ours!'
Really, this will be our first home together. I had a house, which is being rented out, Gary had a house, which we are selling...now we will have one together.
It is both scary and exciting, and the more timid part of me wishes she didn't have to go through this, that everything would stay the same, while the more adventurous part of me grins and says 'yay! a new place to make ours! New rooms, new land, new possibilities!'
Gotta fight the worried part, and embrace the adventurous part. Lucky for me, Gary is always there to hold my hand and look in my eyes and say 'Don't worry...we can do it. Everything will be great! No problem is too big to overcome!'
Thank goodness for him.
