Shopping Spree and Old Fashioned Baking
Fabulous ijinx arrived yesterday in A., that greeted her with ice and snow and athletic challenges well camouflaged as pavements. So far, she has earned my undying admiration as she
- left Sainsbury's without buying anything fun (aka fatty, unhealthy goodness)
- dried my soaked shoes
- whipped frosting by hand
We made lemon cupcakes but it just wasn't the day for it: First they wouldn't rise, then the blender broke down ( ijinx jumped to the rescue) , when I tried out my new piping syringe I nearly killed it and then the bag I wanted to use instead ripped...
The cupcakes turned out okay after all, but, well. Meh.
Tomorrow we are going to E. and I hope we won't get stuck in the snow.
