Odd question
This is something that would be tricky to google for but I'm sure someone here can easily answer for me.
What are the weird square boxes that now appear on packaging magazine covers? They look barcodeish but the standard barcode still remains.
EDIT: wait a second I just googled "weird square black and white boxes on magazines" and google came through. They are apparently called QR codes and as i suspected are some kind of smartphone readable doohickeys. They look very arcane/alien.
