apparently radaio 4 was discussing the story this morning and the scientist present was completely drowned out by some making utterly outrageous claims about what scientists do.
At one point she threw out the stat of "animals are only sedated in 60% of experiments". Fortunately the scientist pointed out that 60% of the experiments don't even cause the animals discomfort eg breeding them.
