I adore so much of this chapter

- the bit with the jasmine, and Martha projecting to John (and the way he responds).

- the way Francine gives Martha a key for her house.

- the way John says "Come home", thinking of his home as hers as well as his.

- the book, especially the pages about the Time War.

- the way Martha refers to him as "The first", where the Doctor was the last.

I love this fic - thanks for a wonderful, glorious ride! I look forward to more of these two, as well!

The jasmine/projection: I felt a bit weird jumping right in with the pr0n, but I thought it set an interesting stage.

John and Home: one of the things I think he's sorting out is which impulses are his and which are the Doc's--I can see him wanting this after being surprised by her in his home the first time.

The book: I'm glad you liked that bit; I wrote it ages ago, and I wasn't sure how it would end up in the story.

The First: again, an idea I'm glad you like. He is the first of something new, and that's got to be exciting!

It did! I've done it myself - started a fic in the midst of the secksings, then gone back to explain how they got into that situation!

Here I was, feeling mean and snarky about today, and look what you have posted! This really made my moring, and made me less biatch-y. The combination of pure sweetness with a dollop of hot lovin' did wonders for my mood and I thank you for it. Though this one bit made me sad;

-It was 7:12 a.m., and for a moment he expected to hear Simon rustling about the flat, making preparations for breakfast and setting up the day’s work. He pulled Martha more tightly against his body when he remembered that Simon was gone now.-

Simon had such a presence. I really miss him.

I'm glad I made your V-Day a bit better; when I realized I'd be posting it today, I giggled a bit. Gotta love some sexytiems fluff on a day like today!

As for Simon, we haven't seen the last of him. The shorts will share a bit of his life with John Smith--he's so sweetly befuddled by him at times--and you'll get to know more about him and why he's there.
