Football is almost over...it's been a dream season for bama. Who'd have thought we'd be 9-1 this year coming off our NCAA mess? Football ending means marching band is winding down as well! I have enjoyed marching the past 8 years of my life but it has taken a toll on my back. I have back problems like crazy right now and the only fix is rest at this point. I am going to get it checked by a doctor on Monday. The pain radiates from left to right and even into my chest, making it hard to breathe sometimes. Everything is ok though, my muscles in my back have been stretched and tightened so much from carrying the drum that they hurt sometimes if I just move the right way. Some people don't like their drumline using stands but let me tell you that it is much more desirable to use them because it prolongs your back and helps focus attention on the activity and not the pain. Even the snare drum gets heavy after awhile despite how little it is...(I am little so that's mainly why).
I have enjoyed getting to play and march...it has produced some of the greatest memories and I'll take them with me forever. I would like to go one more year but it's up in the air for several reasons. I want my dad to see me march again and I want to go and put my all in for the one last time that I'll ever get to march! We'll see....
As for this weekend...
my prediction: Bama wins IF we get our run game established with Darby and we get some first downs and find the endzone at least 2 times. That will keep our defense off the field and get some positive things going and the run game will wear out that AU defense if we can just get some blocking up front! One thing that needs to stop is our coaches padding Brodie's stats and breaking all these records. This is a team effort and our passing game sucks! Someone forgot to tell the receivers that catching the ball was part of it!
I'll predict a close one...with those things in mind...bama 20-AU-17
ROLL TIDE!
My dad is starting to look normal again, with the exception of his hair. His head was completely flat this morning!!! All of the fluid has drained through his shunt and he seems to be up-beat and finally has visual encouragement! He is going to make it and we are going to praise God to the finish line and beyond! Thanks for your prayers...keep them coming...God is so good and he is blessing us abundantly. I don't know why but he has shown us favor and I am so humbled and thankful for that! Things like this will put things in perspective real quick! "God is Good all the time, he put his song of praise in this heart of mine"!
God bless you all...everyone have a safe week..and weekend!
