It's been awhile...

Yeah, it's been awhile since I have updated. Sylacauga went well...it was stressful but it was a great experience and I was invited back next year! I have spending most of my time helping out here with my family. Some of you may know that my dad had a brain tumor found about two weeks ago. The doctors were able to remove ALL of it! Needless to say, the past couple of weeks have been very difficult around here. After a few days of understanding what has happened and seeking comfort I am fully believing that my dad will be healed by the grace of God! I have been so humbled by how many people have reached out and wanted to help my family. I only wish there was a way to show my true appreciation for what everyone has done for us. The only thing I know to do is pray that God will pour his favor upon these wonderful people who have shown so much love to us. We have many people praying and most importantly believing for this healing process to take place. I have been seeking God and attempting to understand where to go when it comes to staying hopeful. Romans 8 has so many verses that are helping so much! It seems as though every thing that can be negative at a time like this is rebuked by the verses in Romans 8. I am still stuck on Romans 8:18 right now. Every single day it comes to mind and I know there are other verses that mean the same thing but this one is so close to my heart right now. An update on my dad is that he is doing much better! He has been out of the hospital for almost a week now and although he is weak from being off of his feet, he says he is feeling much better. He will start his radiation treatments either next week or the week after and he will have those Monday through Friday everyday for six weeks, while taking a chemo pill. They will monitor him by CT scan once a month and this is where I am believing that God has healed my father and he will no longer have to deal with this again once his treatments are finished!!! I know one thing from this....praise God for everything...good and bad...then watch him reveal to you his wonderful love and mercy to you!

Krista, if you read this, I am excited to hear about your mom! I have been praying for her ever since I knew about it and I knew that something good would come out of the situation if there was a steady faith in the healing power that God carries! Now we somewhat trade places and I am believing strongly for healing in my dad!

Among other things, band camp started today for the percussion section and we are in for some hard work this coming week but everything looks and sounds good so far! This should be an exciting season! I am also going to be full-time at Alabama this year and so I am a little nervous but also ready for something new!

Well, I am sore and tired so everyone have a great weekend and God Bless you all!

Caleb, you guys be careful this weekend and I love everyone of you!

In Christ,
Justin
