[The woods are pleasant and sprawling, if you ignore the standard camp inhabitants (zombies, toucans, etc.). The sun filters between rustling leaves, and a path winds between the tall trees and forks up ahead. A sign points towards the right fork and says only "MEADOW". The left fork has no sign, and looks far less travelled, and far darker ( Read more... )

[Heading for the meadow, huh?

The trail's pleasant, and it's a nice day too! You couldn't have picked a better day for travelling, really. It looks like the path ahead opens into a small clearing, and you might be able to make out a small wooden building and some fencing. Want to keep going?]

[There are two buildings. One looks like a small home, kind of cozy, made from wood logs and decorated with little flower pots and things. There's a cute garden out front with pumpkins growing in it.

The other appears to be a chicken coop. There are some chickens milling around the place and pecking at the ground here and there.

It looks like no one is home at the moment.

Do you want to look around a little more, or keep going?]

...ah.

[Well, I haven't seen the left fork before, and just a quick look couldn't be too dangerous. Goin' left!]

[Dark and foreboding all the way here. Deep shadows, lots of twists and turns, and maybe it's just your imagination, but it seems like there's something watching you out there in the trees.]

[The dark and foreboding is okay, but the watching... no. Stops, and peers into the trees.]

[You can't really make out anything in the darkness there, but a far off, unfamiliar giggle reaches your ears. If you think it's taunting you, well... it probably is.]

A break from what? You've barely done anything.

Oops! Did you want to move the bridge?
I can put it back, if you'd like.
...Besides, I doubt many would begrudge me a break from your charming company.
