All right, I'm doing that Leverage meta I warned you all about because I spent the day unfucking my fic and don't feel like writing anything else, plus it's fresh in my mind. If you haven't watched Leverage, you should. It's pretty much the one TV show that I will shove on anybody as something they should at least try. Great characters, great ( Read more... )

I still hope for a movie. If Psych can have a movie, why not Leverage?

It is the most well plotted and developed show in the world. Watching the commentaries, John Rogers always said that each season was designed to be a contained unit and each finale was made so that it could be the finale of the show. I don't necessarily agree with him about S2 finale...but that's just me.

Each season is a gift and each character is a gift and the way they grow and together is the most heartwarming thing in the whole world.

Without a doubt the finale is Nate's worst nightmare. Ugh, even when I know it's fake it gets me every time.

I was a little unsure about Parker at first, but it does make sense the more you watch it. But I would like to think if time had gone on, they would have given Hardison his chance, because I think the Gold Job did leave that hanging a bit and he and Parker are a great tag team.

Oh the show gives me so many feels!!!!!

Eliot and his cooking DOES make people feel things!

I don't know that Hardison quite had what it takes. Parker has a bit of a ruthless streak and can make the hard decisions. It's like what Eliot told her in the ice cave, that the two of them can make choices the others can't.

But man, I just adore that show. I want to go back and watch it with the commentaries again.

Yeah, he might not, but that was the one thing I didn't think actually got settled, just not to my satisfaction anyway. :)

They do the best commentaries! You know what I actually really liked, I learned a lot about cinematography and camera angles from watching those and enjoyed it!

Yes! That last bit is why I didn't like Sons of Anarchy or Breaking Bad. They were shows about people doing good things because it was expected of them, and doing bad things because they could get away with it or because they could rationalize it or because it was easy.

I want my heroes to be heroes - make the hard choices to make the world better, not just get rich.

Definitely! I have a hard time getting into things where I can't connect with the characters or their motivations.
