Okay, yes, I'm at work, but I feel like shit (sore throat, runny nose, congestion...yeah), and I'm basically killing time until I can go home. So, pictures!

First off, I want to say that we loved Mexico. The service we received was uniformly excellent, the people were super friendly, and we had a really, really good time. We're totally going back there. Also, all-inclusive resorts are the bomb.

We arrived early afternoon to blue skies and sunshine, and the weather was really nice while we were there. It did cool off the last couple of days (79F on Saturday and probably the 50's that night, and then low 70's on Sunday, which was a touch on the cool side, although nothing like Nebraska, where it was in the negative numbers).

And we really liked the Hard Rock resort, if only for all the very excellent music they had playing all the time.

Better yet, the hotel backed up onto the beach. We went for a walk every morning, which was lovely.

Us, sipping adult beverages the first afternoon once we got to change in our room. Alas, I forgot to take pictures of our room.

But I did get a picture of the pool! There were a few of them, and we basically sat by the pool, read, and had drinks and food. Ah, that's the life.

They had pretty much any kind of mixed drink you could imagine. Tyson got creative with his Superman, whereas I favored the lime margarita.

The sunset the first night we were there.

We really enjoyed all the wildlife, too. Here's a sandpiper, posing helpfully.

I want to say this is some kind of heron.

Pelicans!

There were piers at various points, and we walked down to one a couple of times. They were cool.

As I mentioned, Saturday night we took a boat cruise to have dinner and a show. The sunset that night was incredible.

And here we are in the boat!

The cove was lit solely by candles and torchlight, and it was super cool. The show we saw was this one, and I can highly recommend it. The crew of the boat was fantastic and hilarious, the show was really cool and fun, and dinner was excellent.

I'm guessing these lights were solar powered, but on the way back, folks decided to feed the fish, and they just swarmed. It was kind of cool.

Anyway, highly recommend Puerto Vallarta as a destination, Hard Rock Resort was great, as was the tour. It will definitely go down as one of my favorite vacations of all time.
