100 Things: TV Episodes I Love (Day 2)

Apr 30, 2012 19:15

I have lots of deep thinky thoughts about a couple of topics, but I have new Bones, Eureka, and Hawaii 5-0 (or Castle. I haven't decided which I'm going to watch yet.) Plus, I have some fun writing to get done, and I may be a little depressed right now, and who needs to hear about that? So! On to the next episode!

For the record, these are in no particular order. Although I will admit to thinking of #1 and #2 any time I think of my favorite episodes. And #2 is...

"Window of Opportunity" from Stargate SG-1! This episode is hilarious. And smart. It's smartly hilarious! Hilariously smart! O'Neill and Teal'c get stuck in a time loop and have to figure out out to get out of it. I love that the roles are reversed--Sam and Daniel are the brains of the team, but O'Neill and Teal'c have to learn a new language and figure out the problem. And then, when they get tired of the loops they take a few off. Who hasn't wanted to drive a golf ball through the gate, or retire so they can kiss someone they've wanted to kiss, or take up pottery? But I think I'd pass on the golfing outfit. This is a feel-good episode, and one of my favorites of all time. (Although I'm sure there will be more SG-1 episodes that make this list.)
