I started to date this amazing guy named Jasen. We get along great, has an amazing personality, great job, full of life. Jasen is poz. Im still going to date him and see where it goes but its going to be challenging.

It's all a comfort level. What got me to the point of "ideally" meeting other poz guys to date was one time I met a real cool guy; we both lived in the 'burbs of Chicago and had Mondays off.
Sitting on his outdoor deck, we talked and when we went inside, starting to make out; before anyting got hot & heavy, I told him I was HIV+. He said, and I'm gonna quote,"The best we could be is good friends and I'm sure we have enough GOOD FRIENDS" Man, Daniel, that stung and is one of the things that remains in my thoughts when it came to dating or just meeting guys.
Now here's the clincher. I met Harry when we were both volunteering for a fundraising event. The orginazation raising funds is an AIDS organization. We talked and made a date for Feb 15th. Just dinner, thats all on Valentines day no less!! That's when I "dropped the HIV bomb"
He said he's not poz but dated a few poz guys before so it's OK.
It's very nice that we dont live with each other (a mistake I've made far too often) but see each other every few days and spend weekends at my place. It gets me to clean up and even cook for more than one!!
Yeah, it's taken time for all this but so far, worth every day. Where even going to see a Tony Bennett concert tonight. He's closer to my era but it was Harry's pick. --R.J.
