So I have been a little remiss in posting I admit. Oddly enough I just haven't been very much in the mood lately. Oh well. I've been hanging out with my parents down here in sunny Florida. I already got me the required farmer's tan, and feel very Canadian with it. I am working on expanding from the farmer's tan though because, well, it looks stupid and farmery. I have been enjoying my parent's company. Been watching a whole lot of movies from Blockbuster. It's insane. It kinda makes me realize that during the school year I rarely get to see many movies that are outside of the school curriqulum, and I sort of am making up for it. By the way, speaking of movies, everyone should go out and rent The Station Agent. It's an amazing movie, words cannot express how much I love this movie. It's a quirky little film, but great. It also has Patricia Clarkson who I absolutely adore in whatever she does. Though during the movie my mother pointed out she looks like Becca which sort of unsettled me and made me want to revaluate my view of said actress.
Been doing quite a bit of reading, watching Bill O'Reilly with my Dad, and just enjoying my parents company. Nothing horribly exciting has happened besides the Mercedes AMG Challenge I took part in and our brief visit to Key West. We might be doing some more little mini-trips to Gardens, and Butterfly world and such, but I'm not sure yet. All I know is in my immediate future I ABSOLUTELY must see Spider-man 2 again, I also want to see Fahrenheit 9/11 (color me curious) and Terminal (despite what Elisha says, cus he is .... well that's a story for another time, and I shouldn't kiss and tell... okay I'll just say it he's an alien from the rings of Saturn).
Speaking of Spider-Man 2.... what can I say? It both kicked my ass AND made love to me at the same time. I actually saw it at 10AM!!!! For some reason this local theatere was playing it at that hour. It was AWESOME! I originally had wanted to go to the midnight screening (yes, I am THAT geeky about this movie) but just was too tired. SO the 10 AM show made me feel a little bit better about myself. My Mom was with me, which was cool. The only thing was the theatere wasn't that packed, because A) This whole community is practically old people, and B) and the younger demographic that does live here wouldn't go to a movie at ten in the morning. So basically I was the only guy who got a lot of the inside comic book jokes, or hell, ANY of the jokes (I think some people didn't see the tongue firmly in cheek going on)
so I felt kind of like a doofus. When I see it again (which might be today) I will hopefully have a more packed cinema. If not, I will just have to go see it with Mile. That would probably be the best possibly way to see it anyway. A couple of times during the movie I kept on thinking: "Oh man if Miles were here we would be doing the hand shaking thing that goes along with the NIIIICCCEEEE!!!
Anyway, that's it for me... I have been working on a screenplay... well not the actual screenplay itself... I am doing the outlines and that sort of thing. It's going to be a somewhat intricate story/plot so I need to figure it all out before I can really start actually writing the screenplay. But it's going pretty well I think. I also found a movie from the 80's with Jack Nicholson and Harvey Keitel with similar issues, which is awesome, and will hopefully help me a lot.
Hope everyone is well, talk to you guys later
