It is finally starting to hit me that I'm going home this weekend. Sure, I've got a great reason aka my grandmother's wedding. Then again, I feel like it's too soon to be going home, even if it will be brief. I want to be in my Butler environment until I really need a break (Thanksgiving tends to fall into this category, unless I have a shitload of work, but even still, it's a change of scenery). Oh well, it should be nice seeing familiar faces again and hey, who gets to see their grandmother get married in their lifetime?
This week is going smoothly. I'm staying on track with my classes and starting my research for my music history term paper. Wanna know my topic? It is how Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor reflects Norwegian culture and tradition. I'm making connections to native folk music and Norwegian landscapes that are utilized in the piece. Hopefully, I'll enjoy writing it and really get an appreciation for Norway. All I know is I got a pile of books in my room I have to look through and gather information from.
Well, that's all I got tonight. Had a good day, my week is going alright, and I've got a weekend to look forward to. I'd say I should be pleased.
