I'm back from the drizzly Albion, and there should be an epic write-up at some point, after I'll have 1) rested from the lack of sleep and from the epic amounts of walking and stair-climbing I've done, and 2) got over the sadness of not being there anymore.
I've packed a lot of things in just 10 days, including the fabulous Connotations slash con, finally meeting
cesy,
daegaer,
louiselux and
zooey_glass in person *hugs all of you again*, seeing Anne-Li again, two years after the Bonn meet-up *hugs you too and thanks for the fabulous royal chocolate*, as well as a lot of other fannish persons whom I had only known as usernames before. *g*
I also experienced a large variety of British hotels - from the Durham Mariott, the food of which could not be rivaled by anything later in the trip, to the shoebox room in the train-shaken Wellington, I have some stories to tell. *g*
Last but not least, I've had my share of the British weather - sun, fog, wind, drizzle, drizzle & wind, sun & wind & cold and so on. And I've bought a five packer of socks and a fuchsia t-shirt from the H&M in Newcastle. :D
