the mountains, Gandalf!

Hello! I'm back from the Thanksgiving holiday, and I have a Las Vegas fridge magnet for you, lilalo! :D

In other words, we've been to Vegas, and from there on a trip to the Grand Canyon. To the amazement of the acquaintances, we haven't even touched a gambling machine or table, but we have walked on the strip and visited the most interesting looking places. Of course, the most beautiful part has been the Grand Canyon trip, despite the travelling conditions and the distance from the actual thing. I mean, I'd love to be back on an actual hiking trip through the Canyon, to really feel like I've been there. (Or by helicopter. The warning that it's not exactly as safe as I'd expect an organised business venture to be is a bit of a deterrent, but gah, the thought of flying between those magnificent walls and getting a close look... It's a good thing I don't have the money for it.)

I was doing fine until Saturday, and I was even feeling energised by the whole experience, but then we somehow failed to get more than an hour's sleep between Saturday and our early morning Sunday flight back, and by the time I got home I was beyond exhausted and well into zombieness. (All I remember from the flight is that I somehow kept myself awake for the five minutes it took me to finish the juice, so the cup wouldn't spill all over me, and that there were some turbulences at some point.)

It's better now, but I'm still too tired to write more about the actual trip.

Also, the only thing that makes the idea of tomorrow somewhat more bearable is the thought of new Heroes, and the hope for trip flashbacks and opportunities to talk to M about the trip.
