Also, the few Charlie-Colby interaction scenes we got made me long for those good old Colby/Charlie moments of old, before it became everything about Charlie/Amita.
Colby! What's up with you getting into all sorts of trouble? It's like he became the Numb3rs punching bag of the season, and even Megan commented about his predilection to end up wet. :D
I won't comment on how someone from the inner circle is suddenly retconned into having exactly the ability they need for the case of the week. I will say that Amita is a grown-up, Charlie, and doesn't have to ask your permission to risk her life. She's not property, dammit, she's geeky and brave, and her reaction was perfectly normal for a regular person in irregular circumstances.
I do wish they'd stop being all kissy-kissy at the university, though.
