(no subject)
So basically I'm avoiding my APEX and other
homework. I just took two APEX quizzes...so I guess that's really a
lie. I just don't want to read out of my Lanahan reader right now. It's
this really boring collection of political articles, excerpts, etc.
that we constantly have to read and refer to in discussions and papers.
It is SO hard to slog through that material and resurface knowing
anything that you just read...really I can SEE the words but I can't
INTERPRET the words...I have to read Much Ado About Nothing (which I'm
actually fairly excited about!) and finish off another history packet
and an essay. I also have to take an APEX chapter test and have it
faxed to the teacher by Tuesday or Wednesday...so yeah I have a lot to
do. I wish that I was in college right now so that fall quarter would
be over and I would have already taken all my finals and actually been
able to relax. Alas, I still have high school time and I've got to
stick it out like billions before me. The nice thing is I'm home alone
for the evening so I can actually get some reading done, which is
nearly impossible for me to do with my family around. Don't get my
wrong I love them and all...but my mom can't leave me alone for more
than 20 minutes I swear. I tell her, "Hey Mom, I have to do some
homework so I'll be in my room." Twenty to thirty minutes later,
without fail, she'll have some chore for me to do that just HAS to be
done "right now". Really, does the trash going out matter THAT much? I
spent about two hours today ironing so that I don't have to worry about
it for a while...it's also one of many chores I've been commissioned to
do.
Besides all of this, because it's really just a rant-fest right now, break looks promising. I'm meeting Nick's family tomorrow and going to Zoo Lights with them. My sister Kelly is home safe and sound and the house is all clean and decorated. Nicole and Walter will be coming pretty soon...I actually don't know what day, and I'm going to a Christmas party this week. So yeah, despite the homework hanging over my head it will be alright. I've vowed to myself to not stay up too late tonight so I can get up early tomorrow and really tackle my homework. It might be hard, but I'll make it :). Well, I better start reading or doing one of the many things I just complained about....sorry this wasn't all that interesting...
