Up one seniority level

The new academic term has started for my friends from THE University. This means that I have to return the boy to the rightful clutches of what you call as "school". BOO.

Dear Geri,

We would like to inform you that with the new academic term commencing, the rights you have to C.T. no longer exists and we will be coming to claim him back from you shortly. Our contract with him will last for 16 academic weeks whereby we will have him safely returned to you after that.

Kind Regards,
NUS

Yeah?!? I hate you.

Just kidding.

I am thankful that we did manage to spend a great deal of time together this summer. Despite work, and despite his internship, we were still at the same place. NUS. I can never escape from its evil clutches. Together, we got to befriend the very delicious science canteen, with it's avocado milkshake that tastes like coffee. Seriously, you need to try it to believe it.

It was a fantastic week last week cos I got the entire week off from work and it was his only week of holiday. Cheers!
Now I can't really remember what we did exactly but I do recall a fair bit of eating. Ka-Ching. That's where all my money went to. pffft.

Today I went back to Nus to have Mackers for breakfast cos it is so cheap. $4.50 for a big breakfast!
Yes. I love NUS that way.

Anyway. I would like to remember today cos while we were on the way to Queensway for some shopping, it poured cats and dogs and rabbits on us. Yes. THAT'S how heavy the rain was!

If you are familiar with how far the bus stops are from the shopping centre, you would certainly appreciate it when I say we ran all the way, a good 200m (at least!) under the heavy rain. Not funny.

Halfway through my glasses got all blurred up and I couldn't even see where I was running cos the rain got into my eyes.

We ran into the shelter and I was positively relieved.. until I realised,

IT WAS THE WRONG SHELTER.

It was quite a pathetic feeling I felt at that moment cos Queenway shopping centre was just opposite us, like 10 feet away and there was just no way to get there.
So we ran out into the rain again.

And then my slipper went into this huge pool of water and slid off my foot while I continued to run forward, so I had to stop running, run back to the middle of the road, pick up the slipper and at this moment I didn't know whether to laugh or to curse.

Come to think of it, it was pretty funny.

This is not our idea of fun I assure you.

Now I hope I don't fall sick cos I am heading off to Phuket this weekend.

Oh dear skies, I implore you to not rain on me this weekend. I am not seeking a tan, but I do want to explore phi phi islands and do a little underwater exploration with the fishes.

the boy, haha, happenings
