I really want to update with photos but I have to keep things short cos I have to get in to work real early tomorrow so words (and one photo I stole from deb's twitter) will have to suffice for now.
CHA SOBA I <3 YOU.
Today has been a really great day. Despite having an 8am session, with clouds that threatened to unleash torrential rain on me, my kid behaved well and I think we managed to accomplish quite a bit in our session.
I came home and slept for a good three hours. 1030 - 1330.
What a life, I know right. I didn't plan to concuss for that long.
All I planned for was a little snooze. My snoozes are never snoozes.
After all that sleeping, I think I have paid off my sleep debt! The feeling of having enough rest when you awake is priceless.

Remember how a few days ago I complained about misplacing twenty bucks due to my carelessness and mindlessness?
Well today, I picked up $50.
It was all folded up and trampled upon. But nothing shall escape my all seeing eyes!!
I was like, ARE YOU SERIOUS. I say this because right after losing my money, I was secretly thinking to myself that maybe I will pick up money. This kind of fantasizing doesn't quite come true despite how often we wish it would.
So as I said. Are you serious?!
And this incident spoke to me a lot, in its own way. I felt it was a something personal. It meant something to me. Here I go speaking in code again.

THE CORINNE BAILEY RAE CONCERT.
Blew me away. Totally.
I wouldn't say this concert is for everyone, but for people who like her music, it would have definitely been a pleasure to the ear.
The intensity in her singing was amazing. Every line, every lyric and every note was punctuated with such strong emotions. The clarity of it was astounding. I don't understand how an artist can sing the same song, over and over again, in world tours and concerts, and yet still portray that same emotion.
I was spellbound.
(of course the bassist and drummer had my fair share of attention as well)
I enjoyed it as the arrangements were different from the CD. I thought it sounded even better as you could really feel the music. (or maybe cos the music was way louder)
CBR ended with this song that Deborah & Rachel would agree, was simply divine.
