(Just in case you want to go to NYC and have no where to stay)
The place we stayed was right next to the subway station and extremely convenient if you want to walk to Chinatown. No surprises that we spent all of our time in Times Square and Chinatown, since we've already done all the usual touristy activities like going up the Empire State building, taking the cruise to see the Statue of Liberty, visiting ground zero, Wall Street...(during Springbreak. Which I was supposed to blog about but never got down to doing it)
Anyway. I love going free and easy cos I can take my own sweet time to explore and walk around, just taking in the air and enjoying the place without having to rush through all the activities and board the tour bus.
Photos can basically sum up the highlights of what we did. NYC was where we had one of the better food choices. More expensive food choice also.
Right. So here we are on the way to NYC, with our (very) heavy luggage.
Quick visit to the M&M world.
We had such a hard time trying to take this photo cos the M&Ms were playing around. The green girl M&M was 'jealous' cos the blue M&M was so happy to meet girls. Haha. So they sorta had a mini chase around with each other. Rather amusing as we just stood there and watched.
A visit to TOYS R US !! And we saw my little pony !
We went to catch Hairspray that very night!
Isn't Jeannie's imitation of the poster a good one?
We had really good seats for this show. And we paid 50% only!
We were trying to capture the background poster; obviously not very successful.
We caught Mary Poppins the very next day which was awesome to another level.
Here's Times Square at night. We almost got lost walking the streets of NYC.
There really isn't anything else to do in NYC if you have already done the touristy things. We had done enough shopping already so that was out. We have seen goodness knows how many museums before this also, so museums was out too.
WHAT ELSE COULD WE DO?!
Take a horse carriage in Central Park!
18USD per head excluding tips. Come to think of it, it isn't that cheap.
Aww I love the horse.
Then since the weather was so beautiful, we just sat around and lazed in the sun.
uh-huh. Yes, we went ALL THE WAY TO NYC just to do that.
Reading.
There was even this lady who took off her top and just started to sun bath right in front of us!
ALL smiles at the glorious weather.
We were sitting down, minding our own business when this sweet little girl came bouncing up to Alicia and plopped onto her lap.
Isn't she just an angel?
She stole all the attention !
Remember what was filmed in Central Park?
ENCHANTED!
singing: Ah ah ah ah ah.........
I love these shots.
Leftt: We saw a hot model in a photo shoot.
Right: NOT an attempt to do a hot model shoot.
Went to Bubba Gump as well. We wanted to try it during our Spring break but ended up at TGIF instead. Food was average, I don't see what the hype is all about. Nonetheless it was refreshing to eat seafood at last!
Woods. Our very entertaining waiter. Check out his balancing act of our water.
Famous Quotes from the movie.
Even more famous quote. Haha.
Not so famous quote.
Used to stop your waiter in case you want to take orders or call for anything.
Jeannie & Geri says, STOP !!! We wanna talk to you !!
This was delicious.
A HUG to end everything!
I am so thankful for the whole experience cos we met so many people along the way and that's what I came here to do. Meet new people, challenge myself and enjoy independence.
