MY how time passes. It feels like school just started (&really, it's only been a month), but we're already nearly halfway through the semester.
Also. Japanese 100 (aka advanced) is a real bitch. APPARENTLY the 100 stands for "amount of kanji you must memorize every week" which is something that would be fine if Japanese were the only class I am taking.
My other classes:
Japanese Politics: LOOOOVE IT. Vogel is a fantastic professor and I am completely fascinated by Japan's political system. Which is really fucking weird relative to the politics of other major countries.
Global Poverty: Also love it. Ananya is incredibly motivating and, despite this class being such a stereotypical Berkeley class (i.e. encourage people to become activists to fight for the less fortunate) she deserves credit for her ability to present opposing ideas without bias.
Culture of Tea: (in China & Japan) I obviously lucked out this semester because I also am in love with this class. I cannot wait to go out and buy a legit tea pot and work with loose leaf tea (which Americans generally don't even consider.) It's quite a lot of history though, & usually I hate history, but I can live with it because studying the social aspects of tea is worth it.
Unfortunately, I haven't had much time at all to write the next chapter of Politically Correct, but I have been writing the story out mentally. The first few paragraphs are giving me a helluva lot of trouble, but once I get over it the rest of the chapter should come out smoothly.
BUT! During this semi-writer's block, I have started (again, mentally) fleshing out plots for other possible post-PC stories. As well as my One Piece Sci-fi epic that I may or may not ever actually get around to writing/finishing.
Weeee'llll see.
