Polyester Girl - Nouk's Lolita with Chokelate textures

Nov 01, 2009 23:13

Don't try this at home kids!

Retexturing this hair gave me all sorts of headaches and caused me much aggro. And I think I was slightly insane when I decided to do the neons.

Anyways - here we have an alpha edit of Nouk's Lolita Hair. Original alpha edit done by Zesta02 on MTS, re-alpha-edited by me to get rid of the gap in the fringe/bangs. I only retextured the short alpha edit. I was going to do the long one as well but when I realised how much work it was (just retexturing the one alpha edit took me approx. 24 RL hours due to the insane amount of textures this hair uses - that's 24 continuous hours of effort, not 1 day of work comprising of a couple of hours of copy pasta) I decided that I would do just the shorter edit and leave the longer one alone.

This re-texture uses Chokelate's original Maxis match textures, as opposed to her newer, more natural textures that I was previously using. Non-chopped retexture by Chokelate can be found on GOS.

And since Nouk's site is gone and you can only get this mesh buried at Simscave where you have to sing a song, turn around three times and sacrafice a plushie to get to the sharing area, here is the mesh.

Credits:

Nouk for the mesh
Zesta02 for the alpha edit I used
Chokelate for the textures
Pooklet for the actions used to create the neons
bondchick_nett for recolouring the original Chokelate textures to neon

In the preview, skintone and eyebrows by Rensim, eyes by Yumedust, makeup by Bruno.
Model is a random sim I made for the purposes of making the hair preview. I saved her so if anyone wants her just yell out.

I just realised that the credit section turned into a little pyramid. Cute!

All ages, binned, familied, grey included in black. In the neons the elder stage is also neon. Poly count is 3604, which means it won't break your monitor. Compressorised.

Keep in mind that the mesh is broken into four parts. When uploading a sim using this hair, make sure that you either include all 4 meshes in the Sims2Pack (only 1 will package in BS, you need to edit the Sims2Pack with Clean Installer) or include a link to my mediafire so people can get all ages to work. I really don't mind if you link to my mediafire. The important thing is for people to get the meshes so the hair works properly.
