If you haven't already, watch this video, Lazy Sunday. It's super fun! http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=zLElfJ9YCh0

If you like that one, you'll also like this one, Awesometown: http://www.thelonelyisland.com/awesometown/

The younger guy in Lazy Sunday is Andy of The Lonely Island, which also includes Yorma and Akiva. Awesometown is the pilot of a show they tried to sell to a network, any network, but couldn't get anyone to pick it up. I guess Lorne Michaels got wind of their talent, though, because this season all three of them are working on SNL. Andy is in the cast as a "featured player," and Yorma and Akiva are writers. Incidentally, the funniness quotient of SNL seems to have gone up this season, and I can't help but think those three are at least partially responsible.

Lazy Sunday seems to have caught fire as an internet phenomenon in the past couple of days. Which has me thinking about the nature of internet phenomena. They seem like such precious ephemera, what with how they take off in an instant and then they die out as soon as they filter down to your aunt Betty who forwards you all those chain letters about the kid who has cancer and wants to get a bunch of postcards before he dies. Is "Lazy Sunday" the new yourethemannowdog.com? Is "Mr Pibb and Red Vines equals crazy delicious" the new "All your base are belong to us?" I guess it makes me square, but I still enjoy those.

What's your favorite internet phenomenon?
