I want to work at boots!
It was my bro's birthday yesterday and he seemed to have a good time. :-) He came over to see me, mum and dad and Nana, Aunt Germaine, Harold and Natalie came too. Rich and Natalie are going through SO much crud with her parents not liking him, it really sucks because it's upsetting both of them so much. We've all got our praying skates on in this house that it all works out, I think that any obstacle thrown at them will only make them stronger in the end.
I bought Rich the Hoobastank DVD, which I was quite tempted to keep myself. LOL. The folks bought him a Coldplay DVD, U2 DVD, Space Invaders for his PS2, Bottle of Smirnoff Ice, a Beano Comic *giggles* and a few other odds and ends. He got a lot of money off people too. :-) It's great when it's the other sibling's birthday in my house because my folks always make sure that no-one's left out, so they bought me the Halliwell's Movie Quiz book...kept me quiet for a bit at the least. LOL. I never realised I knew so much about MGM musicals!
Rich has started a new job actually in the offices at Boots. He REALLY hated the job that he was in, I couldn't even tell you what it is but the company he was working for selling internet space got taken over by this environmental company who are doing good stuff but he didn't understand it because it was pretty scientific (no-one likes science in my family...apart from Uncle Roy who did a Physics degree...crazy man). Now he's in customer services though at Boots chatting with people who've lost their advantage cards and that, he's going to get moved up to something more complex in a couple of months but he's really enjoying it. It's something that comes natural to him, he's already made a few friends, one of who's on his bus route and is a fellow guitarist! AND he got given a Christian Dior grooming set and a rather dashing bag as birthday pressies from work and he's only been there 3 days! LOL
It's done me some favours actually him getting this job because he's discovered the Boots outlet store WOHOO!!!! He came back yesterday with £35's worth of French Connection grooming products for £3.40! I've sent him with £5 and a shopping list. LOL. He's going again tomorrow to find me some John Freida hair stuff and as many Toni and Guy products as he can lay his hands on! Apparently they have lipsticks there for 10p!!! Must get myself a job there. LOL
On a different note, just sent "him" a text asking him if he's read my e-mail and for him to text me back, Mum suggested I send it him before I send him a final e-mail, seemed logicial. Gosh, he did actually just text back saying that he hasn't checked his e-mail for ages. HOW IRRITATING IS THAT! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I've told him he needs to check it asap and that we need to talk about what's in it....hmmm..lets see what happens.
: thought this was quiet amusing and forgot to share it. I had a dream last night that I moved to New York where somehow I met Will Smith and ended up dating him (in the dream he was unattached). I dreamt that we were at some fancy restaurant and he was telling me how impressed he was that I wasn't daunted by his fame and was discussing how he had the same orthodontist as Mandy Moore (????). Helen was with me as well actually as a our chaperone...that was odd. LOL Oh and me and Will made plans to go to central park the next day...why this is odd is because I DON'T FIND HIM ATTRACTIVE. LOL. it was funny though, I woke up questioning whether I'd eaten cheese before bed. Nowhere near as good as the dream that I was dating Jon Foreman sadly.
