ren fest
O WoW! I'm tired and I didn't even do anything. Ren Fest was pretty fab this year. Thought Ben, Steven and Evan were waaayyyy good! I know (from bitter experience) how tiring it can be to do one performance after another; especially in the outdoors. Baby-bitz, your "Wood" was GREAT! Also got to see some Sci-Tech alumni so that was really special and added to my day.
Science Warrington pointed out at lunch today that we have only 7 more school days until Thanksgiving, and then only 2 weeks of instruction before it is exam week and then the end of the semester. OMG! Where did this semester go??
The year is going pretty well. I miss having "my" juniors, but I'm enjoying having sophomores. For the most part my freshmen are a pretty good lot, but as always, I have some freshmen, and sophomores, too, unfortunately, who don't want to do anything. It is so depressing. I guess I shouldn't, but I take it personally when a student "chooses" to fail my class; and that is almost always, 98% of the time, why someone fails. They don't do the work. It is really depressing to see a bright student, who has the whole world before them, decide to close all their doors before they even know what one they might want to go through at some point.
Enough of this. Everyone have a terrific weekend!
