Got 2 free energy monitors from British Gas - one because I'm a poor deafie who can't afford anything, and one because I switched to Energy Smart (even though I only use British Gas for gas, not electricity). The first one that I got (on the left) due to my deafness a few months back is fairly pants - it keep losing connection to the sender, so I'm not confident on the accuracy of the cumulative reading. I got the second one (on the right) a couple weeks ago and finally installed it today. Interestingly, when the first energy monitor decides that it's up to listening to the sender, it shows a different energy reading. How accurate are those things? I don't expect identical readings, but if one shows 520 watts and another shows 610 watts, that's pretty inaccurate.

I'm disappointed with the first one as it's more descriptive than the second one but it doesn't work too well. I'm going to wait a few days to see how different the cumulative readings are.
