Level. Starter and above
Time. 20-30 minutes
Aims. Listening and writing skills, oral fluency
Preparation.
Choose a short episode you think your students will enjoy. There must be the target language, grammar or conversations you want to work with.
If there are some unknown words, pre-teach and drill them.

Procedure
Show the episode for the first time and give any task for general comprehension.
Then show the episode again, pausing after each phrase. The students write everything they hear.
After they`re ready, play the video with subtitles pausing again after each phrase, let the students check and correct their mistakes.
Duscuss all the mistakes.

Follow-up.
Play the video again, but without sound and let students synchronise the episode.
For lower levels let students do it with subtitles, for upper levels - without subtitles.
