Ali Farke Toure - Why wasn't I told?
My god, this CD is gorgeous. I am enamoured. It is simply beautiful.
1. I am currently looking down the tunnel of 3 1/2 months paid holiday leave from work. Yay me! I love long service leave.
2. I am having lunch with the lovely sinden tomorrow in honour of her birthday!
3. On Monday, I'm leaving on a jet plane. I do know when I'll be back again 29 April.
4. As per 3. I am flying into San Francisco to begin my Odyssey. Although it is not a PopOdyssey - although if I decide to pursue the ambition to be a BNF, I may rename it as such.
5. Catching up with geeklite in SF (I need to email you) and meelie in Vancouver are going to be absolute highlights.
6. muskratjamboree! 'Nuff said. Catching up with china_shop, meeting my suite mate calathea, and many, many others on my friends list is going to be such a joy. I am so beyond excited.
7. Washington DC and New York! Finally, I will get to see these places. And Boston!
8. Catching up with the wonderful B in Basingstoke and my most gorgeous darling, C in Manchester.
9. Wrapping up with ampokris in Singapore - does it get any better.
10. The day after my return, my little jetlagged self will be off to see Pink.
11. I then still have six weeks off work!
