Pussy Riot are calling for nominating Mark Feygin, Nikolay Polozov and Violetta Volkova for Nobel Peace Prize.
Many people tell, that our lawyers are not lawyers but politicians. And this is so. It cannot be differently in political case.
Violetta Volkova, Mark Feygin and Nikolay Polozov, while defending us, were acting in a public way, bringing every moment of this shameful trial against Pussy Riot into limelight. They have done this regardless to the risks both connected with reputation and their own safety.
We want to nominate them for the Nobel Peace Prize, because it would be impossible to show to the worldwide society the legal system in Russia without their help. They showed the legal system, because of which every day and every hour thousands of people are suffering. No one is discussing their sentence on TV, no one is asking them for interview, but they are imprisoned for years, sentenced because of total lawlessness in Russia. Maybe, and we are sure that it will happen like this - our case will draw the attention of human rights defenders all around the world to the trials, which are taking place in Russia.
As a result we will see less corruption, authoritarianism and injustice, we will see changes.
Nobel Peace Prize in this case it is not only the award for worthy defense, but timely instrument in strife agains Putin's regime, which allows to retribute innocent people without judicial safeguards.
That's why we call our friends and supporters,parliament deputies of free countries and cultural workers support us in nominating lawyers Feygin, Polozov and Volkova for the Nobel Peace Prize.
