Just pondering life . . .
Today has been an encouraging day. I can't put my finger on it but I feel good. I am at work as I type and have 1 hour and 40 minutes till I get off. I guess since today was unlike yesterday evening it should be a good day. Yesterday evening I was kinda down and out. I get upset with my self for being too sensitive and unfortunately Dave then has to put up with me first reading into something he said and taking it personally and then second with me crying and getting mad at myself for having done it in the first place. Sometimes I wish I could set aside my womanly charactoristics for just one day. Poor Dave. I require so much and am so high mainenance. AHHH!! Anyway, back onto today, the good day. . .
I am working on a project. I am not sure what it'll end up being but I have a passion for young newly weds as I was there not too long ago. I have learned a great deal in my two years as a wife and I want to share these things with others. If someone else can learn something earlier in their marriage and more quickly then I did, Great!! So, I am doing a little research and am working on writing papers of multiple topics regarding the married life. Money, in-laws, sex, children, and any other issues caused by the wedding band. I am doing one topic per paper and maybe someday can comply them into a book. I am focussing on "the first two years of marriage." I am excited and today something happened to encourage my excitement. Last semester here at Emmaus I sent out a survey to faculty and staff and recieved responces from 29 people (a couple from my own family members) asking their opinion on the 5 top reasons for divorce. After sharing the results with those who participated a professor approached me about it. I truly respect Dr. Smith as he teaches many classes specific to what I want to write about. He was surprized and somewhat impressed that I was doing this work and so excited about this subject on my own (not doing it for a class). He asked if he could read what I someday end up writing. What an honor! So, that encouraged me in my task.
I also got some encouragement from my dear friend Melissa today. I love that girl! I vented a little to her on her online journal about some things I'm going through and she really encouraged me with her words. Thank you, Melissa. That also brightened my day.
Well, that is my Thursday in a nutshell.
