I really like this Greenday song, "When September Ends", cause in all honestly... this has been one shitty week, and the more I listen to it, the more I realize how much it seems to fit with me. If you haven't heard it DL it, but you probably have, they play the shit out of it on the radio. I'm gunna type out the lyrics and break it down, just so you guys see how I'm seeing this lol.
Summer has come and passed, the innocent can never last
Wake me up, when September ends (It seemed like summer, had been going pretty good for a while)
Like my fathers come to pass, 7 years has gone so fast
Wake me up, when September ends (7 years ago is about when I started to meet all my friends that I know)
Here comes the rain again, falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again, becoming who we are (It sort of hurts, but we're all getting older, and pain seems to be what makes us stronger for whatever we have to face later on)
As my memory rests, it never forgets what I lost
Wake me up, when September ends
Summer has come and passed, the innocent can never last
Wake me up, when September ends
Ring out the bells again, like we did when Spring began
Wake me up, when September ends
(During the spring, everything was going so good, too good, the concert, the apartment, the band)
Here comes the rain again, falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again, becoming who we are
As my memory rests, it never forgets what I lost
Wake me up, when September ends
Summer has come and passed, the innocent can never last
Wake me up, when September ends
Like my fathers come to pass, 20 years has gone so fast
Wake me up, when September ends (20 years, thats about how old I am, and about the same age as some of my friends, 20 years is really about your youth, innocence and that shit)
So thats how I see it, it's a damn good song.
