Behold! It is the first day, the day of reckoning, where people wearing clothes they would never otherwise wear tramp about on a raised platform for the entertainment of others! It is called-OPENING NIGHT.
We had a full dress rehearsal yesterday, which went smoothly except for a weaponry malfunction where a sword-erm, liquefied would be an appropiate term-during a scene. It was pretty funny, for everyone else.
It's hard to tell whether this play is going to be funny or not because we've all heard the same jokes over and over again for almost two months. We had one person in the audience during the rehearsal, and she wasn't laughing. Maybe I was concentrating too hard to tell? We'll see.
One interesting part about this play is that "backstage" in on-stage. The audience can see you at all times, so when we're not in character we have to sit very still. That'll be fun.
Off to class.
