i took the day off.
its my sisters birthday so i bought her a nice shirt.
i was sitting at my desk about to start getting things done when my brother calls to tell us he was in a car accident. my mother starts freaking out. turns out he and my babysitter were driving on the hutch in the left lane at about 2mph because it was bumper to bumper traffic when a bus comes at 80mph and couldnt stop, knocks into them. the car supposedly looks like an accordian, glass went everywhere, and had they not been going as slow as they were, they would have went over the cament barrier into oncoming traffic. i dont know how my brother came out with just a few scratches. the honda is made so unfreakingbelievably well.
my mother decides to leave the house and shes a wreck. i offer time and time again to drive because she wasnt in the state of mind to do so. she refused because shes constantly stubborn. shes speeding and im reminding her that even though we may be 'exempt' from abiding by the traffic rules because of the situation, we still have to be safe and cautious. but of course, were at the stoplight and my mother decides 'i need to get there' and she crosses the double yellow line into oncoming traffic and the next thing i know, were hit head on by this teenager. his airbags went off and he was a little banged up. stubborn people need to get over themselves at times like these.
we go to meet my brother at the hospital where he was getting checked out. turns out the bus was a Ramaz bus, with a bunch of the kids from my school on it.
its just kind of a whirlwind of events and emotions. we have two wrecked cars, two accidents and a weird coincidence all on my sisters birthday.
and some luck at that too.
