ok. just hold on here with me for one second while i go on a whirlwind of blubbing about this whole Broadway dealio....
WHAT THE FUCK.
ill be honest, i dont know as much about theater and the like as so many of you guys, but i do know one thing - talent is talent...like, whatever his name is as a featured actor in sweeney - the dude plays an instrument and is fucking brilliant...
i mean, granted - everyone knows that broadway is going 'downhill' with nothing original out. and something that is, has something already taken from somebody else's peice of work sometime before be it a book or a score or a movie or a band. so one may think that perhaps, the ONE completely original show, The Drowsy Chaperone (which i have yet to see), may perhaps, win something of credit?!?!??!
JERSEY BOYS!???!!! okay, fine. one award. maybe two, if they got lucky. but in all the catogories that have any concilation?! there were SO many people who deserved those awards over these two guys and the best show - granted, i havent seen the show. but i saw as much as i needed to see from their preformance and really, if i had that much of an interest in hearing the Four Seasons, id go out and buy an album for myself.
