Some slightly positive things going on:
Had an interview for the paid internship today. We'll see how that goes, should know by the end of the week. I'll bitch about that later if it doesn't turn out, for now I'll keep it to myself.
Talked to Mimi for a while. That woman is awesome... so hip and classy in a grandma way. I owe SO much to her, and her humor and her ability to see the best in people (usually) are just amazing.
Talked to Emily Els- I mean Twesme for a while. That was good, just what I needed. We both talked about heavy stuff in our lives and it was nice... I made her promise that in a few years we'll end up in the same place, within driving distance, wherever that may be. We had a funny conversation about couples arguing... she and Mark have the same communicating while angry problem Chris and I have, but switched, so it was funny hearing her perspective of the "leave me alone right now I'll tell you later" angry person. Gonna say my prayers for her and for Mark, won't go into that. But mostly, even though we talked about some sad stuff, it was good.
Got out of class early. Get to go to class late on Thurs. No class tomorrow, so extra time to work on my grant project.
Sunny yesterday and today... it was nearly 70 here, if I had to guess. If I was in Morris, I'd have been on the mall in shorts and a tank, with the shorts rolled down and the shirt rolled up getting some sun. Ah.
I'm taking a possibly good course next quarter, nice and juicy and post-modern. The Death of Art and Spaces of Aftermath. Thrilling... but I'm wary, every class I choose for myself turns out... disappointing. I've heard the prof is good but tough, I hope I can cut it, I never had a purely theory art history course. I should brush up on some... ha yeah right.
