Me and Tim
So my all time awesome good news and best kept secret...
Tim and I are dating or courting whichever you like with the intention of marriage. We have liked eachother for so long, 10 months, 10 long, long months that when it all began I felt like they were eternity.
It all began in Semptember when Tim and I met for coffee. I had just started as the Campus Missionary at the SHSU BSM and was not allowed to date students. Tim and I were going to hang out at Starbucks and we were talking about FOCUS and goofing off when he told me that he wanted to date me. I had been attracted to him since April but I had given my feelings to God and entrusted my feelings for Tim to God. So in September when he told me that he liked me I was so excited but I also knew that I could not date him. We would have to wait, and Tim was willing to wait. So for 10 long months we never spent any time alone, we didn't make personal calls to each other. We just waited. But it was such a blessing because each day and each week I learned more and more about Tim and he learned more about me. We saw each other on good days and on stressful bad days. And God was good and we grew more and more in Him and he prepared us for the day when we could date. And that day was May 11th. We had a wonderful time getting to see each other and talk honestly. All of that time spent waiting was so worth it because God knew what we needed. We needed a strong foundation of friendship to prepare us for our relationship. It is difficult sometimes but God is good. I think our friendship is what will help us as we are apart. Since I now live in Houston and he still is in Huntsville. All I can say is if I had to do it all over again, I would. The peace that I have and the wonderful knowledge of having a clear consience before God and knowing that we are pure and committed to guarding and protecting eachother's hearts as we seek God is awesome!
