From my Japanese lesson this morning
The word for the number '2' sounds the same as the word for 'at'. You differentiate between them by context!
ichi ji ni - at one o'clock
ni ji ni - at two o'clock
The number nine is pronounced differently depending on weather or not you're counting...
kyuu ji - 9 o'clock
ku hon - 9 bottles
... has been running through my head since I got into the office.
