Biography/Personality: Aoi grew up the youngest of three, yet even at a young age he showed incredible promise in almost anything he did. Anything that he could sit down and manage to do, that is. As a child, Aoi was insanely active, and therefore found it hard to achieve the good grades that his two brothers had, simply because it meant he would have to sit down and study. So when he was old enough to begin participating in school sports, he did, and he was good. Maybe it was his boundless energy, or his determination to be accepted by his parents, but he just kept getting better in better in sports, but stayed at the same low level in studies and ultimately his grades. His home life began to deterioate then, his parents becoming angrier and angrier, and his brothers shining out even more against him, in their parents opinion, which was what Aoi longed to do. So he tried, and tried very hard to study and become smart like his brothers, and calm down so that his mother and father wouldn't be ashamed of him anymore. But it didn't work, and he did even worse in school than he did before, and Aoi began to become discouraged. How could he, the youngest, ever hope for his parents to love him like they loved his two brothers if he couldn't even make higher than a C in math? When he continued to just fall short of their expectations, they became fed up with him and shipped him off to live with his grandparents.
Which was the best thing they had ever done for him. His grandparents were much more understanding, and found his boundless energy to be refreshing in a house that was once so quiet and drab. They let him do whatever he liked, as long as he continued to pass, which he diligently made sure that he did. Most of his time was spent outside though, running around the small neighbourhood looking for something to do. There was always someone at the baseball field, at the soccer field and especially at the tennis courts. Seeing as how he played these the most, they turned out to be what clubs he would join when he finally made it to middle school.
Aoi never runs out of energy, ever. Neither in spirit, or in the physical sense. It is extremely hard to bring Aoi down, and he always looks to the bright side of things, even if the situation doesn't (or shouldn't) call for it. If you're down, Aoi will try and cheer you up. If you tell him to be quiet, Aoi will just be louder. But even though he seems considerably impolite, that isn't the case whatsoever. He's quite polite, and will go out of his way to help you with anything you ask, even if it seems quite impossible. All he really wants is to see everyone smiling and having a good time, and fails to see why everyone can't be happy all the time. If he can, why can't they?
Previous RP Journal: So, I've never roleplayed as Aoi before...outside of personal roleplays with my friends, so I figure it would just be easier to write a tag for you to see.
Aoi had wondered if the invitation had been set to the wrong person at first, looking at the ornate envelope, holding it between his two fingers gently, almost like he could damage it. It couldn't be for him, could it? Wasn't Evergreen a very prestigious school, a school that wouldn't want him to enter? But it seemed to be for him, especially since his name was said throughout the letter quite a few times, jsut cementing the fact that he had been invited to learn at such an advanced institute. Had it been his parents' doing? No, they didn't care enough about him to get him into this school (had his brothes been invited too?), so...how?
He had contemplated the same thing on his way to the school, chatting amiably with his grandparents. They were proud that he was invited, although they were just as confused as he was. But as soon as he had kissed and hugged them goodbye, Aoi turned and looked at the expensive everything around him, and he felt humbled for just a moment. He was really lucky to even be seeing this school, wasn't he? he;d have to find the right person to thank later.
Then he was hauling up his bags and running haphazardly through the gate, a huge smile on his face. All thoughts of being humble and thanking whoever invited him were gone. All that was on his mind was what sports were played here, and if he would be able to make the team. Also, what sort of food was here, was it good? He'd be staying in a dorm, right? Did that mean that he would have a roommate?!
Aoi didn't know the answers to any of those questions, but he knew he would have fun here. As he ran up the ornate walkway, the energetic took this time to say a quite happy (and loud) hello to everyone he passed, stopping at the front door to take a deep breath. He was here, and he was going to make the best of it. It was all he could do, right?
