being boring is...boring
okay aggie, you've inspired me to try and kick my boring-ness
let's see what might pass as interesting in my life;
- i did get a promotion which you may or may not be aware of if you are on my facebook -- a girl i work with found a job closer to home and her small child, so i was offered her position of Administrative Assistant for Strategic Sourcing, which is really just liaising between our vendors and yards and also facilities work dealing with construction and moves happening in our office. it also means a raise of some sort which i am not entirely sure of the amount, but whatever more money is better than none. AND it will get me slightly better hours - ie, being able to leave at 5 instead of 6 (though i may use that bonus hour to go the gym that i joined and have not yet used...durrr)
- we will be headed out east again...in a week's time. this is probably the most exciting thing in my opinion...i can't wait to get back out there. AND chris tobias might be coming with us - hooray for getting him out and about
- i am making decent progress on the Star Trek themed wedding dresses for Graham's sister...but damn is it taking a toll on my back...but i am staying at work late to make use of the over-sized board room tables so that i don't have to try and lay out and cut fabric on the 2'x4' area of exposed carpet on my living room floor and spaz out because the only way i can do that is by sitting/standing on the fabric which kind of defeats the purpose of laying it out in the first place. sigh.
what else....?
clay's parents had their pool relined...and they WERE going to have it converted to salt water (which would have been beyond awesome) but they figured it was too much of an expense given that they are not planning on staying in that house for too much longer...but whatever...so some time when nice summer weather decides to grace us with its presence, we should all do some swimming and eating of food from the barbecue..i would enjoy that very much.
