1. What's the best book you've read in the last year?
probably "The Child in Time" by Ian McEwan...but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone with small children because it had me pretty well in tears several times and i don't even had kids, but that could just be because i'm a big softy
2. What's your favourite song of the moment?
"Cut me Off" by Shotgun Jimmie it's really bittersweet, like most of his stuff and it makes me feel kinda warm and fuzzy, you can listen to it here: radio3.cbc.ca/bands/Shotgun-Jimmie
3. How much would somebody have to pay you to convince you to shave your head?
an awful lot because i'm convinced i just don't have the head/scalp for baldness-it's kinda lumpy and pretty misshapen, i'll keep that all to myself thanks
4. What's your absolute most favourite fruit?
oh man, this is hard. i like them all. now, if i were to exclude berries that would narrow it down some. i'm on a pomello kick at the moment....but i think all time favourite has to be persimmons in their tiny pumpkin/orange tomato glory. mmm...i can wait until they're in season in a few months.
5. Of all the things you've ever baked, what do you think was the best?
for my personal tastes, i'd have to say that the things you and i have baked together were the best -- when we combined our chocolate chip cookie recipes and made the best ever chocolate chip cookies, and the strawberry-rhubarb pie that was most fantastic.
however, if i was to go with the popular vote of those who have eaten my baked goods i'd say either rolo cookies or cheesecake.
